Our Curriculum

Introduction to Bioinformatics
Scope of bioinformatics: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics.
Key databases: NCBI, Ensembl, UniProt.
Reading: Introduction to bioinformatics textbooks.

Sequence Analysis
Sequence alignment: BLAST, ClustalW.
Phylogenetic analysis and tree construction.
Practical: Run BLAST on a DNA sequence.

Genomics and Transcriptomics
Analyzing NGS data: RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq.
Tools: Bioconductor, Galaxy, DESeq2.
Practical: Analyze an RNA-Seq dataset for differential expression.

Structural Bioinformatics
Protein structure prediction and visualization (PyMOL, Chimera).
Molecular docking basics.
Practical: Visualize a protein structure using PyMOL.

Programming and Data Management
Python and R for bioinformatics.
Data visualization and pipeline automation.
Practical: Write a Python script to parse a FASTA file.
